Sharni Vinson

The girl was born in NSW, Australia, Sharni Vinson was raised in Sydney's southern suburb of Cronulla. As a teenager the swimmer competed on the National Level for swimming and was a part of four State records in high school. Sharni began singing, dancing and acting in her early years as young children, becoming the third generation in her family who performed. She was raised by performers in musical theatre and her mother was awarded an Borovansky Ballet Company scholarship to England in 1945. When she was 12 Sharni took up a place as a dancer at the Brent Street School of Performing Arts located in Sydney, where she trained on all aspects of dance during the subsequent 10 years. Sharni was a senior when she graduated from high school at 17 and was contacted to Roadshow Music Australia to be part the group "Foxfire IV", an all-girl pop group whose first single, "Roses", reached number 50 in Australia's ARIA chart.
